Questions about these roles

How often is this list updated?

The date at the top of the page shows when the roles were last checked. Good roles can fill within days, so if one has closed by the time you click through, check the next one down rather than giving up.

Which platforms are these roles on?

Right now: micro1 (9 roles), AfterQuery (4), Mercor (3) and Outlier (1). Each Apply button takes you to the platform's own application page. AI Expert Work doesn't hire anyone itself.

What do "Most countries", "Regional" and "Not listed" mean?

They describe who the listing says can apply. "Most countries" means the posting is open to applicants in most places, "Regional" means it is limited to certain countries or regions, and "Not listed" means the posting doesn't say, so check the platform's page before applying.

How much do AI training jobs pay designers?

Listings here range from $15 to $350 an hour. Most design roles pay $35 to $110 an hour, labeling work starts around $15, and senior roles can reach $350. Some projects pay per task instead of hourly.

Do I need AI or machine learning experience?

No. These roles pay for design judgment. Being able to explain clearly why a layout works or fails matters far more than any technical AI background.

Is it free to apply?

Yes. Legitimate platforms never charge you to apply. If a listing asks for money up front, it isn't one of the roles on this page.
